Halloween

For Halloween Tanner was a caterpillar, I was a butterfly, and Brad was a moth. We went over to a friends house for dinner and a bonfire. I was very surprised with Tanner because he did not mind his costume at all. He does not care if he has anything on his head and he was more interested in my wings along with all the other wings that were there.

Happy Birthday!

This post is a little late-but better late than never. Brad just had his birthday and turned the big 28. It was so fun spending the day together and enjoying one another's company. I love him so much and am the happiest I have ever been being married to him. He makes my days special and fun. I can already tell that our children's favorite part of the day will be when daddy comes home. As soon as Tanner hears the door open he starts to jump and laugh without even looking because he knows who it is coming in. Brad is our favorite person and we love him very much. We are so blessed to have him in our family. Thinking about how much we love him I wanted to have his family say a little something about him too.

Hangin' With the Cuz

Tanner and Isabel are at the age where they are starting to notice each other. On Saturday we had Rachel's kids over and Tanner and Isabel were entertaining themselves working on their favorite skills (Tanner's is sitting and Isabel's is rolling). Tanner also found Isabel's talent of spitting quite hilarious.

Like Mother Like Son

Although I do not think that Tanner looks much like me, I do think that there are some similarities. In addition to these similarities after talking to my mother I am starting to realize that our personalities are similar-right down to the love of screaming.

Just Sitting Around

Tanner can sit and he loves it. There have been times when he will fuss until you let him sit and play with some toys, or feet whatever is available. He doesn't need the boppy, but I like it there for peace of mind because every now and then he will have a tumble. I am having so much fun with him at this age and love every minute.

Arizona Here We....Stay!

Just wanted to announce that Brad was accepted into AT Still Universities Orthodontic Program in Arizona. The program is 27 months long , so we should be here for awhile. We are very excited to stay in our house near friends and family.

Busy at Work...

General Conference

We just got done with another conference weekend. These are some of my favorite weekends and I start to look forward to the next the minute they are over. It is so nice being home spending time together and being spiritually uplifted for an entire weekend. Brad's parents were here with his brother Trenton and we are hoping that it is becoming a tradition because we love having them with us on this weekend.

Roll Baby!

Brad and I have been so excited for Tanner to roll and would work with him on it all the time. This weekend Brad's mom, Carolyn, was here and said "you just need to put him on his stomach so he doesn't like it and he will roll." In my head I was thinking, "you can put him on him on his stomach it will result in tears, I try it all the time." So she put him down and after about 10 seconds of fussing (no crying) he rolled over. I was so excited that I put him back on his stomach and he just started to cry. Now he will do it all the time and it is so cute- we are still working on the back to front. I think that Carolyn just had the touch that he needed to get him started.

Patience is a Virtue

Patience is something that I lack, but lucky for me Brad has enough to spare. Tonight I was doing a small project and I was getting so mad I said, "OK I am just going to get rid of the whole thing!!" Brad then responded, "well before you do let me try it." He then politely came over and fixed it for me. This type of conversation happens about every other day in our house and he is always able to fix my problems. My hero!

OCTOBER

It is October! I am happy to say that I have my house decorated and two costumes for Tanner (I just could not decide, plus one was a really good deal). Stefani says that I should celebrate Halloween Eve, I think she might be onto something. I get so excited for the fall and I feel like October is the kick-off. Now, the Octobers here in Arizona are a little different, but I love them just the same. I love that the leaves changing color (well not here, but back home and just knowing that it is happening makes me happy), sweaters, breaking out the hot chocolate, the beginning of the holidays, Brad's birthday, and of course Halloween.

One of Those Days

Today has been one of those days where I have a sick husband and a little baby that does not want to sleep. Right now I am getting a few moments of peace while they are both asleep. Although I do not get much done on these days there are some things I love. I love that I spend more time rocking Tanner than usual, and I love that Brad is home. Tanner is up I have to go...
