Smith Look-alike Meter

I found this on a friend's blog and thought that I would give it a try since we change our minds every day on who Tanner looks like. I know that these are not the best pictures of me and Brad, but you get the point.

Moving to the Crib

Since Tanner is almost 4 months old and weighs so much that his bassinet was sinking in the middle, I finally decided that it was time to move him to the crib (which has been set up since January). I tried to have Brad move it into our room, but he said "no way". I figured that my only options at that point were to move the crib while he was at school or move us in with the crib; I went with the latter. Now we all share the baby room and the master bedroom has turned into the guest room/dressing room. I know that my house is small, but when Tanner is that far away from me I feel like I live in a mansion, so I love being in the same room where I can hear him and check on him easily. I have decided that I love the idea of a family sleeping quarters- the only problem is Brad. However, even though he doesn't agree, he is happily sleeping in Tanner's room with me.

Tanner's 3 Month Photoshoot

Here are some of Tanner's 3 month pictures. He had a really hard time with the photographer, so we weren't able to get very many. They said we could come back another day, but I decided the stress wasn't worth it and these were cute enough anyway...

Giggles...

Tanner has decided that he thinks his dad is rather funny. I try all day to get him to laugh and can only get smiles and coos. Brad has discovered that one of the funniest things for Tanner is when he startles him. However, the same tactic doesn't work for me. This is a video of Brad playing with Tanner.

A Hard Days Work

To help Tanner with his new love for standing and jumping we got him a new toy, and boy does he love it. He has now decided that if he is not with his jumper he should still be allowed to stand and jump with the help of who ever is around. Today I had to go to some meetings at school and so I took Tanner along. He did well except that he would cry unless I let him stomp around on the table. Every time I took him off the table he would break into tears and the minute he realized that I had put him back he would get the biggest smile and start to squeal and stomp again. So, when we got home I decided to let him get all of his jumping out and he just fell right asleep. I guess he had already had a hard days work.

Spa Teatments

Tanner has his dad's feet and apparently is just as susceptible to ingrown toenails. Consequently, he has a little ingrown toenail on his right foot, and they said that I am supposed to soak his feet 3 times a day. The first time we soaked his feet he thought it was so funny. He would just start to giggle for no reason while his feet were in the sink. Brad has also discovered that Tanner will stop crying with him if he soaks his feet. Tanner likes to feel like he is at the spa and loves his pedicures.
